Spain joined the IT coalition: Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Spain has officially joined the IT coalition, becoming the 13th partner country that supports Ukraine in the field of digital technologies, communications and cyber security. This happened during the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine, which takes place in the “Ramstein” format. The relevant Declaration of Intent was signed, about what informs website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“We thank the Government and people of Spain for the systematic support of Ukraine. Joining the IT coalition is great news. As well as the fact that more and more countries want to help Ukraine become more technological. But it had all the opportunities to deploy any digital solutions that would give a tangible result in the Ukrainian army.” — said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization.
Reference: The IT coalition is a special group of countries within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (“Ramstein” format), which is headed by Estonia and Luxembourg. The main task of the IT-coalition is to provide assistance to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces in the field of IT, communication and cyber security. Thanks to this coalition, financial and material resources worth more than 70 million euros were collected to support the Ukrainian defense infrastructure.
The ministry also stated that Spain’s joining this initiative strengthens international support, which is important for the further development of Ukraine in the conditions of war and the improvement of its technological capabilities.
