Only together – the authorities, the State Emergency Service, the police – we were able to carry out such serious tasks regarding the protection of people. It’s even scary to think how many lives we could have lost if the evacuation had not been announced in July 2023 – on prejudice.” – he emphasized.

According to Artyukh, evacuation currently covers a significant number of settlements located near the border with Russia, where there is a high threat to the civilian population. At the same time, most of the evacuees remain within Sumy region, moving from the contact line to safer areas.
