Supreme Court judge killed in Kharkiv region while delivering humanitarian aid to local residents

A tragic incident occurred in the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv region: an enemy kamikaze drone hit a civilian car, as a result of which the driver was killed, and three female passengers were injured. About this reported Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to official information, on September 28, a Russian FPV drone attacked a Mitsubishi Lancer car that was moving through the territory of the Dergachiv Territorial Community. The 61-year-old driver died at the scene. As it became known, the victim was a judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, who during the tragedy was delivering humanitarian aid to the residents of the affected village.
At the time of the impact, there were also three female passengers in the car who received injuries of varying degrees of severity. The victims were urgently admitted to the hospital, where they are provided with the necessary medical assistance.
As a result of this attack, the Dergachy District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv Region launched a pre-trial investigation on suspicion of violating the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This investigation includes gathering evidence and establishing the circumstances of the attack, as well as the persons responsible for this crime.
It should be noted that on the night of September 28, Russian troops launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, launching 77 air targets, including various types of missiles and Shahed kamikaze drones. Thanks to the efforts of the Air Defense Forces, it was possible to shoot down 69 drones and two guided air missiles. Unfortunately, however, some drones have succeeded in achieving their goals, causing destruction and loss of life.
