The Ukrainian REX drone is equipped with the ability to carry up to 8 munitions and performs reconnaissance tasks
The REX unmanned aerial system can be described as a compact bomber. It is equipped with the ability to carry four bombs under each wing and independently determines targets.
This drone not only drops bombs on the Russian occupiers, but can also detect, lock and track objects at a distance of up to 45 km, as well as evaluate the results of the strike. It can use from 2 to 8 different ammunition with a total weight of up to 10 kg.
The REX drone combines the capabilities of reconnaissance and correction of striking strikes, which expands its combat capabilities. It has a take-off weight of 16 kg, can stay in the air for up to 1.5 hours and reach a speed of up to 126 km/h.
The complex was developed taking into account military experience and needs. Developers from the Ukrainian-Polish company Armadrone have been working on attack drones for 7 years. The REX uses components from allied countries and Israeli technology, which ensures high accuracy and reduces the risk to civilians.
At the moment, the drone is at the prototype stage and was presented on the page of the Brave Inventors project. In June 2024, it was demonstrated at the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition in Paris.
