The Belgian government allocates 200 million euros to the air defense initiative
The Belgian authorities will allocate 200 million euros for an air defense initiative led by Germany, and will also send missiles to Ukraine to strengthen its air defense systems.
About this reported Ludivin Dedonder, Minister of Defense of the country.
Dedonder did not specify the number and type of missiles that will be sent to Kyiv, but emphasized that Belgium “will never stop” to call for an end to hostilities and a return to diplomatic dialogue.
“Our message is always the same: the day Russia ends its invasion and cedes illegally occupied territories, the conflict will end. We will never stop to reiterate our demand for an end to hostilities and a return to political and diplomatic dialogue“, said Dedonder.
Earlier this week, plans were announced to provide Ukraine with its first F-16 fighter jets, as well as the fact that Spain would transfer missiles to the Patriot air defense system.
