The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted new payment rules for teaching staff, which relate to annual remuneration, seniority allowances and additional payments for inclusive education. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
Annual reward for conscientious work will now be paid to all teachers in the amount of one official salary. Currently, this amount is 3195 hryvnias. In addition, the right of local authorities to establish additional types and amounts of surcharges is established.
Government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk explained that the introduced changes also apply to the procedure for calculating seniority allowances. Those periods of activity in separate positions, which were not taken into account before, will now be included in the teaching experience. This will enable more educators to receive appropriate allowances.
The issue of additional payments for inclusive education is regulated separately. Methodist teachers in kindergartens with three or more inclusive groups are entitled to an additional payment of 20% of their salary. In addition, educational institutions and their founders have the opportunity to establish additional allowances at the expense of their own funds.
