The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Plan for passing the winter

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a single road map of actions for authorities for the period of the heating season. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

“The plan for the passage of winter was approved. It provides for the protection of energy facilities, provision of a reserve of equipment and materials, and a quick response plan. Anti-crisis headquarters will be constantly working in the regions to prevent blackouts. This will help to act in a coordinated manner to prevent and quickly eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling, the head of the government said.

Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk specified that the approved plan will ensure the development of a single algorithm of actions to prevent blackouts and quickly exit from them. Key measures include engineering protection and air defense of energy facilities to guarantee the cover of critical infrastructure, the creation of a hub of backup equipment for the prompt restoration of energy supply, the formation of regional anti-crisis headquarters for the rapid assessment of the consequences of attacks and the coordination of work, the support of frontline regions with fuel, generators and satellite communication, as well as the strengthening of the communication infrastructure for the uninterrupted operation of mobile and satellite communication even in the event of blackouts.

“The enemy has not changed his intentions to completely destroy our energy system and plunge Ukrainian cities into complete darkness, and for this purpose he uses new tactics every time. So we have to be ready for any scenarios. The developed road map of actions will allow us to increase the resistance of the objects of the fuel and energy complex to probable attacks, reduce the time of restoration of electricity and heat supply, ensure effective interaction between all structures and rational use of equipment reserves, Grynchuk noted.
