The Cabinet of Ministers plans to establish the minimum age for users of the “Diya” application

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to amend the Regulation on the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services, which officially establishes the minimum age of users of the mobile application “Diya” — from 14 years old. This is stated in the explanatory note to the draft resolution.

According to the document prepared by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, identification and authentication in the “Diya” application will be carried out by an individual who has reached the age of 14 and has a taxpayer registration card number (TIN). The Ministry of Digital Affairs explains that the presence of a TIN is an important element of secure authorization, correct operation of services and protection of users’ personal data.

Previously, the regulation did not clearly define either the age limit or the requirement for a TIN – a user could be “any individual or legal entity”. So teenagers could actually use “Diya” from the age of 14 after receiving an ID card, but now this norm will be officially fixed.

Recall that on November 4, in the “Diya” application for the “eVidnovlenie” program allowed to submit a new application in case of repeated damage to your home.

“Now, if your home is damaged again, you can immediately submit a new application. You don’t need to wait until the repairs are completed or the commission approves the previous report”, — the application’s press service explained.
