On September 1, Russian troops shelled the village of Omelnyk in the Pologiv District of the Zaporizhia Region. The couple died as a result of the attack. This was reported by the head of Zaporizhzhya OVA Ivan Fedorov.
“The Russians attacked the village of Omelnyk with anti-aircraft guns. Destroyed houses. A couple died in one of them – 64-year-old man and woman”, says the message.
During the day, Russian troops carried out 591 attacks on 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers carried out six airstrikes on Gulyaipol, Omelnyk, Poltava, Malynivka, Biloghirya and Uspenivka.
Also, 432 strikes by drones of various types, mainly FPV, were recorded in Komyshuvas, Bilenko, Kamiany, Chervonodniprovka, Plavnyi, Primorsk, Gulyaipol, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Yurkivka, Malia Tokmachka, Charivny, Olhivka and Preobrazhenka.
Three shellings from rocket salvo systems fell on Shcherbaki, Novoandriivka and Mala Tokmachka. In addition, 150 artillery strikes were carried out on the territories of Plavniy, Prymorsky, Gulyaipol, Shcherbaki, Novodanilivka, Malaya Tokmachka and Charivny.
We received 57 reports of damage to private residential buildings, apartments, cars, farm buildings and infrastructure facilities.
