The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution that gives servicemen the opportunity to personally determine who will receive their financial support in case of capture. About this reported Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“Today, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution initiated by the Ministry of Defense, which improves the mechanisms of financial support for military personnel. From now on, each serviceman will be able to independently determine to whom his financial support will be paid in the event of capture.”, the message says.
To take advantage of this opportunity, it is enough for a military person to issue a personal order, which must be certified by the commander or a notary. The document will be kept in the personal file in the future.
The Ministry of Defense clarified that these innovations cover cases when military personnel are in captivity, are hostages, interned in neutral countries or are considered missing.
The resolution also provides for improving the access of territorial recruitment and social support centers to data from state registers in order to simplify the identification of persons entitled to the relevant payments.
