The Cabinet of Ministers supported the draft law on responsibility for unauthorized access to military facilities

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft law that provides for the introduction of administrative liability for illegal entry into military facilities. This is reports the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The document is aimed at increasing the level of security of military facilities and protecting the civilian population in conditions of ongoing aggression by the Russian Federation. Unauthorized access to such objects creates a risk of sabotage and can have serious consequences.

The bill proposes:

  • Establish liability for arbitrary entry into military facilities, repeated commission of such an offense within a year, as well as for actions in the conditions of a special period.
  • Introduce fines in the amount of 500 to 3,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens with confiscation of tools of crime.
  • Give the authorities of the National Police the right to draw up protocols for such violations.
  • Relegate consideration of relevant cases to the competence of district, city and city-district courts.

The adoption of the law will make it possible to strengthen the protection of military facilities, reduce the number of cases of illegal entry and strengthen the safety of civilians.
