The court changed the preventive measure of People’s Deputy Tyshchenko

May 12, Shevchenkiv District Court of the city of Dnipro changed a preventive measure was imposed on People’s Deputy Mykola Tyschenko and former policeman Bohdan Pysarenko, choosing to house arrest them at night.

People’s deputy Mykola Tyshchenko and former policeman Bohdan Pisarenko have had their preventive measures changed – both will be under night house arrest until July 12. Both of them are accused of illegally depriving former military serviceman Dmytro Mazokha in Dnipro.

Prosecutor Yakiv Slyusarenko appealed to the court to extend house arrest for both accused. The preliminary term of the preventive measure expires on May 21.

Bohdan Pisarenko’s defense attorney Olena Chernova stated that such a preventive measure violates the rights of her client, since, according to the norms of the European Convention on Human Rights, the duration of round-the-clock house arrest should not exceed six months, while Pisarenko has been under arrest for almost 11 months. She asked to replace the 24-hour arrest with a night one.

“Pysarenko’s father has a pension certificate, which shows that he is disabled of the third group, he also needs the help of his son. Pysarenko also has a two-year-old sister, and he lives with his mother, who is currently on maternity leave, taking care of a small child. Of course, the family needs the help of their son in order for him to work.” — said Olena Chernova.

The lawyer of People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko, Yevhen Solodko, also opposed the extension of 24-hour house arrest. In the end, the court decided to change the preventive measures for Tyshchenko and Pysarenko – both of them were placed under night house arrest, which will be in effect until July 12. According to the decision, the arrest will continue every day from 21:00 to 06:00.
