The first funds have begun to be collected for bail for Andriy Yermak
The former business partner of the former head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, Roza Tapanova, said that she is ready to pay 8 million hryvnias as bail for him. About this Tapanova announced on Facebook.
“The specified amount of money is part of my official income, which is indicated in my annual declaration. I consider this appropriate to ensure the constitutional right to protection and support of the principle of the presumption of innocence,” Tapanova noted.
Rosa Tapanova is a lawyer, a member of the National Bar Association of Ukraine, appointed by the government as a member of the supervisory board of Oschadbank. Since 2024, she has also been a member of the supervisory board of Ukrnafta, where she was elected from NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Tapanova was working on a new concept for the Babyn Yar nature reserve.
Bihus.info called Tapanova a former business partner of Andriy Yermak. According to journalists, she worked at International Law Company LLC, which Yermak created in the late 1990s. Later, Andriy Yermak and Roza Tapanova, as partners, founded the law firm of the same name.
Investigative journalist Mykhailo Tkach, citing sources in political circles, reported that the main part of the bail for Yermak could be paid by Asters lawyers or the company itself. Yermak’s friends were also considered among the possible participants in the fundraising.
“According to sources in political circles, the bail must be paid by the end of the day. Also, according to the interlocutors, a wide range of people are involved in the search for money and the mechanism for legalizing the required amount of funds,” Tkach noted.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for Andriy Yermak in the form of detention for two months with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 140 million hryvnias.
The prosecutor’s office requested that Yermak be taken into custody with the alternative of bail in the amount of 180 million hryvnias. Law enforcement officers believe that he has enough money and connections to hide both in Ukraine and abroad.
At the same time, Yermak’s lawyer insisted that the amount of bail should correspond to the person’s financial capabilities. According to Yermak’s declaration, his income is “about 10 million hryvnias”, he also has a 2019 Mercedes and a three-room apartment in the city center.
