The Government approved the Strategy for the Development of the Health Care System until 2030

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Strategy for the Development of the Healthcare System of Ukraine until 2030. About this reported Government portal.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal called this strategy a key document for Ukrainian medicine. He noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has defined three main strategic goals.

“The first is the universal access of citizens to medical services. For this purpose, the expansion of the role of the primary link of medical care and the integration of monospecialty medical facilities into multispecialty hospitals were foreseen. The second strategic goal is to strengthen intersectoral coordination in the management of medicine. We will adapt Ukraine as a future member of the European Union to EU medical standards.”Shmyhal noted.

The third goal, he said, is to develop human capital and attract investments. It is about improving medical education through the creation of multidisciplinary university hospitals and the integration of education with science, the introduction of modern technologies such as telemedicine, artificial intelligence, transplantology and bioengineering.

Shmyhal emphasized that the strategy implementation plan contains clear indicators, specific tasks and responsible persons. He emphasized that Ukraine has an ambitious goal of creating one of the best and most affordable healthcare systems in the world.
