The Government of Ukraine has introduced a new mechanism to support Ukrainian teachers – “Money Follows the Teacher”, which will allow educators to receive funding for training courses. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, each teacher will be credited with 1,500 hryvnias to a virtual account. These funds can be used for training courses selected in accordance with their own professional needs and development plans.
The pilot program can be joined by principals, deputies and teachers who work with grades 7–9 of the “New Ukrainian School” (NUS), as well as with 10 pilot classes of a senior specialized school. All stages of implementation will take place on the state digital platform “Vector”. Registration will open in December 2025 at the specified link, and training will start at the beginning of the new year.
“This is part of a joint program of the Ministry of Education and Science and the World Bank. I am grateful to the partners for supporting Ukrainian education, for believing in our teachers – those who shape the future of the country every day”, — added Svyrydenko.
Registration for teachers will open at the end of 2025. It will be held on the professional development platform for teaching staff “Vector”.
