The investigative director of the Khmelnytskyi district prosecutor’s office will be tried based on the materials of the SBI
DBR employees completed a pre-trial investigation into the former head of the Khmelnytsky District Prosecutor’s Office, who fraudulently obtained a disability pension for himself. The indictment was submitted to the court.
The investigation established that in 2020, with the assistance of officials of the medical and social expert commission, the official illegally received lifelong II disability group, although he knew for sure that he did not have functional disorders that meet such criteria.
Later, he turned to the territorial administration of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and issued pension payments. In total, he was credited with more than UAH 1 million. The former prosecutor is accused of fraud on a particularly large scale (Part 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The actions of the MSEK doctor, who helped in the illegal establishment of a disability group, are qualified under Part 1 of Art. 28, Part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (compilation and issuance of a knowingly false official document committed by a group of persons).
Procedural management in the case was carried out by the General Inspectorate of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
