The Minister of Health announced an increase in salaries for family doctors in Ukraine in 2025
In 2025, primary care doctors in Ukraine will be able to receive higher salaries thanks to an increase in the capitation rate. About this reported Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko during the briefing.
According to the minister, the state budget for 2025 foresees an increase in the capitation rate, which will allow to increase the salary of primary care doctors. A capitation rate is a payment for the medical care of one patient during a specified period, regardless of the number of visits.
It includes the following costs:
- salary of a doctor, nurse and other staff;
- consumables;
- depreciation of equipment;
- organizational expenses.
The size of the capitation rate is the same for all regions of Ukraine and is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. Currently, it is 786 hryvnias 65 kopecks and has not changed in the last three years.
Lyashko noted that the rate increase is planned for 2025, but the specific amount of the increase has not yet been disclosed. This decision is designed to improve the financial condition of primary care physicians and provide better patient care.
