The Ministry of Defence codified the SAR 762 MT machine gun for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified the SAR 762 MT universal machine gun of 7.62×51 mm caliber, which can be used both in combat positions and firing structures, and can be mounted on light armored vehicles.
As reported the department’s press service, SAR 762 MT has a number of advantages compared to its counterparts, in particular the Pecheneg machine gun, which is used by the Russian army. Among the key features of the SAR 762 MT is a quick-change barrel, which allows for almost continuous fire, and an adjustable gas valve, which allows you to adjust the intensity of fire.
This machine gun is designed for stable operation in any climatic conditions: it functions effectively both at extremely low temperatures and in tropical climates. The SAR 762 MT is also characterized by high wear resistance of the case and barrel.
It will be recalled that recently the Ministry of Defense also codified the new Safari HG-105M semi-automatic shotgun, allowing its use in units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine about 20 models of sniper and anti-materiel rifles, a third of which are Ukrainian-made. The use of more than 25 models of machine guns, both foreign and domestic, is also allowed.
