The Ministry of Defence did not provide armour for Ballistics employees due to lack of grounds

The Defence Ministry’s commission found no grounds for granting the right to reserve employees of Ballistics, a company that produces equipment for the military. This was announced by the Ministry in response to a request from the Ekonomichna Pravda publication.
According to the current legislation, the status of a critical enterprise, which allows for the reservation of employees, is determined in accordance with the criteria approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Currently, Ballistics LLC does not have this status. In its official response to the company’s requests, the Ministry of Defence stated that the company did not meet the criteria.
The main reasons for the refusal were the absence of a state contract with the Ministry of Defence or the Defence and Security Agency, the lack of approval as a co-executor in the state order, and the absence of a request from representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the company does not belong to the Ministry of Defence.
The Ministry of Defence stressed that it appreciates the contribution of private defence companies to the defence of the country.
A meeting with representatives of defence companies is planned in the near future to discuss the conditions for obtaining the status of a critical enterprise and opportunities for booking employees to support the stable operation of production facilities. The date and venue of the meeting will be announced later.
