The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Digital are launching the Brave1 grant competition for developments in the field of AI
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation announced the start of the Brave1 grant competition for developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
Participants will be able to receive financing of up to UAH 100 million. The priority is solutions that will significantly increase the autonomy of combat missions: autonomous drones, guidance modules and thermal systems for interceptor drones, AI solutions for detecting and neutralizing anti-aircraft missiles, as well as simulation environments for training and testing autonomous combat systems using AI.
“More than 200 companies in Brave1 today are working on AI technologies that are already changing the course of war. And the state is ready to support startups that will give Ukraine a technological advantage over the enemy. We are creating a new technological force capable of providing reliable defense for Ukraine in the future, said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
Producers can apply for participation in the competition until September 9.
We remind you that on August 29, Brave1 announced the expansion of grant opportunities. The defense cluster has resumed its grant support program, within which manufacturers can receive financing in the amount of 500,000, 2 million, 4 million and 8 million hryvnias. The total budget of the program until the end of the year is 2.7 billion hryvnias.
