The Ministry of Defense has completed the testing of sports sneakers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ministry of Defense of Ukraine completed military (research) tests of sports shoes designed for the needs of servicemen of the Armed Forces. During the tests, experts determined the optimal characteristics of the new shoes, which will form the basis of the updated technical specification.
“In 2024, the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense of the DOT bought military footwear worth more than UAH 3.1 billion. Carrying out military tests of sneakers is an important stage in providing our defenders with high-quality and comfortable shoes. We are interested in involving a wide range of manufacturers and choosing the best solution.” – said the director of the Department of Procurement Policy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Hleb Kanevskyi.
The new project of the technical specification under the TS code А01XJ.66777-228:2025 (02), developed by the Central Directorate for the Development of Material Support of the Ministry of Defense, has already been published on the MOU Partner portal. This document should replace the current specification, and the Ministry of Defense calls on potential suppliers to participate in providing the Armed Forces with modern equipment.
We will remind that during 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, the Ministry of Defense approved 38 reference samples of physical support items. Among them are modular body armor, combat ballistic helmets, protective ballistic masks-goggles, special headphones, boots, combat shirts, winter windproof jackets and pants, underwear and other equipment.
The Central Directorate for the Development of Material Support of the Ministry of Defense continues its work on improving the quality of material support for the military, introducing modern technologies and adapting the best international standards. The department is ready to cooperate with Ukrainian manufacturers who can offer innovative and high-quality solutions for the needs of the army.
