The Ukrainian drone manufacturer is investing £200 million in a project on the territory of Great Britain

The largest Ukrainian manufacturer of drones, the company Ukrspecsystems, has announced the launch of an investment project in East Anglia worth £200 million. It is planned to build a factory with an area of 11,000 m², as well as the creation of a test and training center, reports UK Defense Journal.

According to the company, the implementation of the project will provide up to 500 jobs and internship programs in the region. They intend to start recruiting British workers by the end of this year, and the production of drones is planned to start in early 2026. In addition, Ukrspecsystems announced plans to gradually expand its presence in Great Britain over the next three years.

The company emphasizes that the combination of Ukrainian experience in the creation of drones, gained in military conditions, with the British industrial base will enable Ukrspecsystems to reach the level of a world leader in the field of drones for military and civilian needs. Great Britain, in turn, will become a launch pad for international exports.

Minister of Defense Procurement Maria Eagle emphasized that London recognizes the high level of Ukrainian technologies in the field of drones and cooperation with manufacturers from Ukraine will provide access to the latest developments, as well as strengthen the defense capabilities of the British Armed Forces and their allies.

Ukrspecsystems is a Ukrainian company established in 2014. It specializes in the development and production of unmanned aircraft systems for military needs. Its most famous developments are the PD-2, Gekata and Shark series drones (Shark, Shark-M, Mini Shark), which are used for reconnaissance, surveillance and artillery adjustment.
