The Ministry of Defense has expanded the “Contract 18-24” program to all combat units

The Ministry of Defense program “Contract 18-24”, which provides for voluntary service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has been expanded to all combat units of the Defense Forces. This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President for Defense, former commander of the 93rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Kholodny Yar” Colonel Pavlo Palisa.

He recalled that initially, participants in the program could choose only a few brigades for service, later its scope was expanded, and now a decision has been made to include all combat units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in it.

“Now anyone who wants to defend Ukraine at this age can choose any brigade. And all brigades will be able to recruit motivated young people to their ranks. The struggle continues, — explained Palisa.

Recall that the “Contract 18-24” initiative was launched in February of this year. Initially, young Ukrainians could choose such specialties as a rifleman, senior rifleman, sniper rifleman, rifleman-medic, assistant grenade launcher, grenade launcher, senior grenade launcher, scout or senior scout.

Later, the program was expanded — in July it became known that those who wish to serve as drone operators can also sign the “Contract 18-24”.
