The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine adopted 9 domestic ground-based robotic complexes
Since the beginning of 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for operation in the Defense Forces of Ukraine nine land-based robotic complexes of Ukrainian production.
About this informs Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“The role of unmanned systems on the battlefield is increasing, today they perform a wide range of tasks, gradually minimizing the presence of humans on the front line. Many domestic manufacturers are now focused on the production of robotic systems in order to improve the capabilities of the Armed Forces“, Colonel Volodymyr Rochniak, head of the Ministry of Education and Culture, said.
According to him, codified unmanned platforms are designed to perform various tasks on the battlefield. Some of them are carriers of weapons systems, in particular, machine guns of various calibers. These combat robots allow Ukrainian soldiers from cover to fire remotely at the enemy, which protects them from injuries and death.
It is noted that the codification and further admission of a sample of weapons and military equipment of domestic production to operation with the assignment of a NATO nomenclature number allows the purchase of these weapons with funds from the state budget for units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Recently, the Ukrainian military has been using ground robots to perform combat missions.
