The Ministry of Defense supplies the army with “Flyswatter” simulators to combat “Lancets” and FPV drones

The Ministry of Defense has admitted several electronic models for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the “Chaika” and “Chaika-M” simulators, also known as “Muhobijka”. Reports  by the Ministry of Defense.

The department explains that in the conditions of modern warfare, in order to effectively counter enemy FPV drones, “Lancet” and “Shahed” electronic simulators are actively used in the Defense Forces. They allow training to be carried out without risk to personnel and at the same time save expensive ammunition, which would otherwise have to be spent during training shootings.

At these complexes, the military practice accurate and rapid firing with “Igla” MANPADS, Stinger, DShK and M2 machine guns, as well as with small arms. During training, simulators reproduce attacks by air targets from different heights, at different angles, at different distances and at different speeds, which allows training to be as close as possible to real combat conditions.

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that such systems simulate real combat scenarios, thanks to which the military learns to quickly assess the situation, make quick decisions and effectively use weapons. As a result of the training, the fighters not only increase their ability to successfully destroy drones, but the best operators after completing the training are even able to hit cruise missiles.

The department also recalled that in October the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision that significantly simplifies and accelerates the procurement of unmanned systems, electronic warfare (EW) equipment and their components for the needs of the front.
