The Ministry of Digital and Defense is preparing restrictions for military personnel on gambling.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation, together with the Ministry of Defense, is preparing a mechanism that should limit the participation of military personnel in gambling during martial law.
“We continue the systematic fight against gambling addiction. Our goal is to protect military personnel and families from the risks and consequences of gambling addiction. To this end, together with the Ministry of Defense, we are preparing a mechanism that will limit the participation of defenders in gambling during martial law”, – stated in the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
When entering the game, the user will be checked against the register of persons with restricted access to gambling and the register of military personnel. If the restriction is confirmed, access to the game is blocked.
The ministry also noted that gambling organizers will not have access to information about the status of a military serviceman. The system will only transmit confirmation of the presence of a restriction without explanation and without disclosing data.
The implementation of this mechanism will be ensured by the state agency PlayCity, which is the regulator of the gambling market.
