The Ministry of Internal Affairs has created a Unified Information Platform on Issues of Persons Missing in Special Circumstances
Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine presented an official online portal created to coordinate the search for missing persons under special circumstances, as well as to support their families. The portal is called “The only information platform on issues of persons missing under special circumstances”.
“We have taken it upon ourselves to find and explain as briefly as possible who does what, and to provide an up-to-date link,” – said Artur Dobroserdov, Commissioner for Issues of Persons Disappeared Under Special Circumstances, during the presentation of the resource.
According to him, the platform was developed in response to numerous appeals from relatives of the disappeared, representatives of public organizations and regional activists. The information on the website will be regularly updated by representatives of state bodies, international institutions and involved organizations.
Each structure will be able to publish relevant messages. In addition, the portal contains answers to common questions, step-by-step instructions and other useful resources. Dobroserdov emphasized that the main goal of the portal is to point the way and provide families with the most complete information about the functions and powers of official structures.
Director of the Department of Communication of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Maryana Reva said that the translation of the portal into English for foreigners looking for their relatives is currently underway. At the same time, she noted that, first of all, the resource was created to help the Ukrainian audience.
