The Ministry of Internal Affairs opens a prosthetics and rehabilitation center for Ukrainian defenders
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced the creation of a prosthetic rehabilitation center. About this informs press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
An important meeting with representatives of the Protez Foundation and Direct Relief was held with the participation of the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko and his deputy Kateryna Pavlichenko. The main topic of discussion was the creation of such a center on the basis of one of the medical institutions under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Ihor Klymenko emphasized that one of the department’s key priorities is the rehabilitation of military personnel, support for their mental health, and assistance in returning to civilian life after service.
“Our teams have worked in very close collaboration this year. And we have already embarked on a specific project to build a center. There we will be able to manufacture and install prostheses, as well as carry out their maintenance. In our cooperation with the Protez Foundation, we are not only building a center, installing equipment, we select and train high-quality specialists”, – said the minister.
Yuriy Aroshidze, General Director of Protez Foundation, thanked for cooperation and emphasized the importance of the project, the purpose of which is to help wounded soldiers return to an active life. The implementation of the project also received financial support from the organization Direct Relief.
