The Ministry of Veterans Affairs presented mobile applications for psychological assistance

Ministry of Veterans Affairs reported about the list of mobile applications that can be useful for psychological support of veterans.

“We offer a selection of mobile applications for psychological assistance to veterans, which can come in handy in a stressful moment or be an effective tool for self-care in everyday life. However, we note that they will not replace doctors and specialists.” – it is stated in the message of the ministry.

The first of the recommended applications is “Baza” – a Ukrainian, free and anonymous service. It includes materials on post-service adjustment, tips for coping with stress, anxiety and the effects of concussions, insomnia exercises, a mood tracker, and the ability to see a therapist anonymously.

The next application is “PFA Mobile Ukraine”, which is focused on psychological first aid. It contains algorithms for actions in a state of shock or panic, instructions for support after traumatic events, as well as psychoeducational materials on the functioning of the psyche during a crisis.

Another tool is “BetterMe: Mental Health”, a universal application adapted for Ukrainians. It offers breathing exercises to reduce stress, meditation to improve sleep, and live chat support.

Also in the selection is “PE Coach 2” — an English-language application designed for US veterans. It is suitable for those who are already undergoing therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder. Users can record their thoughts, emotions, anxiety levels, perform PTSD exercises and use step-by-step instructions during panic attacks.

“It is important to note that these services do not replace a doctor’s consultation, but can become a daily prompt and help you better understand your condition.” – emphasized in the ministry.
