The National Bank introduced a new commemorative coin “ State Emergency Service of Ukraine”

The National Bank of Ukraine introduced into circulation a new commemorative coin “State Emergency Service of Ukraine” courage, dedication and professionalism of Ukrainian rescuers.

“We embodied our gratitude and respect for Ukrainian rescuers in the new circulating commemorative coin ‘ State Emergency Service of Ukraine’. The incredible strength and deep, pure mercy that imbues the work of Ukrainian rescuers make them the best in their field. It is they who become the ‘bridge’ between life and trouble. At a time when fire, the elements and danger become ruthless enemies, they come out to meet them.

Often, when we hear another news about how the enemy has struck, the heart sinks, and then we receive a message that rescue services are on the ground – and hope returns to him again. The one who saves one life saves the whole world – this is pure truth. Thank you for every saved life and honestly completed task, – said the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Andrii

Circulating commemorative coin “ State Emergency Service of Ukraine” with a denomination of 10 hryvnias is made of a zinc-based alloy with a nickel coating. The obverse of the coin repeats the design of the circulation coin of 10 hryvnias of the 2018 model and contains the denomination, the year of minting and the State Coat of Arms of Ukraine.

The reverse depicts a rescuer of the State Emergency Service in full equipment with a fire hose and barrel, the inscriptions are placed around the circle of the coin: at the top – “DARE TO SAVE LIVES”, at the bottom – “SES OF UKRAINE”, and between them – stylized oak leaves of the emblem of the service. The design of the reverse was created by Alisa Ivanova, the obverse was created by Volodymyr Demyanenko, the sculptor was Anatoliy Demyanenko.

The coin must be accepted at face value for all types of cash payments and crediting to accounts. The NBU will gradually strengthen banks and SIT companies to issue coins to customers. Gradually, almost 10 million pieces will be put into circulation, and part of the circulation will be in specially designed rolls of 25 coins, a total of 20,000 rolls.

You can buy a roll of 25 circulating commemorative coins from September 23, 2025 in the online store of numismatic products of the NBU (12 thousand rolls) and at distributor banks, the list of which is listed on the official website of the National Bank.
