The NBU Chairman personally apologized and handed a bank card to a defense attorney with amputees
The Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshny, personally handed over a bank card to serviceman Ruslan after an incident when he was refused a card renewal at “PrivatBank”. This was reported by the head of the NBU.

During the meeting, Pyshny and a member of the board of “PrivatBank”, who was present with him, apologized to Ruslan for the situation.
The resonance arose after the incident in Kyiv: a soldier who had lost all his limbs came to the branch on Beresteyskyi Avenue with a medical curator to restore a card lost at the front. The bank refused, explaining this by the requirement of photo identification – they insisted that the owner must physically hold the card in his hands during the procedure.
Pyshny noted that after talking with the military man, he held a meeting at which they decided to review which regulations needed changes: what could be simplified or updated, while maintaining protection against fraud and abuse.
