The Odessa City Military Administration was headed by the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Serhiy Lysak

On October 15, the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administrative Organization, Serhiy Lysak, was appointed to the position of head of the Odessa City Military Administration. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the corresponding decree.

By his decrees, the president dismissed Lysak from his position in the Dnipropetrovsk OVA and created the Odessa City Military Administration. Lysak’s first deputy, Vladyslav Haivanenko, was appointed to temporarily lead the administration in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

At the same time, Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov gave a briefing in the city council building and stated that he still remains the mayor:

“Today I remain the mayor of the city. Until this information is adopted by the deputies at the session, I will continue to remain the mayor of the city and fulfill my duties. Today there will be a meeting of the TEB and the National Assembly, a commission, where we will resolve very important issues of preparation for the winter period”.

Let us recall that the day before, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that he had received confirmation that “certain individuals” have Russian citizenship and made the appropriate decisions regarding them, without naming them.

Later, the SBU confirmed that the Ukrainian citizenship of the head of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, was terminated – allegedly due to the presence of a valid Russian passport. The special service notes that a Russian court canceled the validity of his internal Russian passport at the request of Trukhanov’s representatives.

The president promised to soon appoint the head of the Odessa City State Administrative Organization. Trukhanov himself denies that he has Russian citizenship and plans to challenge the decree in court.
