On the night of July 21, the Russian army carried out a massive shelling of Ukrainian cities, using drones and missiles. As a result of the hits, fires and destruction were recorded in several cities, and there were casualties. The Russian Federation struck Kharkiv with 12 strikes, informs Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

“According to preliminary information, 12 flights were recorded in Kharkiv. One of them was near an apartment building in the Kyiv district. There are currently no casualties, but there is a fire near the building. At the location of one of the flights, windows were broken in one of the residential buildings, the road, tram rails and electric wires were damaged. Another consequence of the aerial attack on Kharkiv was a fire at a civilian enterprise.”, says the message.

On the night of July 21, Russian troops launched an attack on Kyiv using drones and missiles. Numerous explosions rang out in various districts of the capital. At least one person died. Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration reported about the roof of a non-residential building in Darnytskyi district catching fire as a result of shelling. Later, it became known about the destruction in two more districts of the city.

In the Darnytskyi district, fires were recorded on the roof of a multi-storey building, in a non-residential building, as well as in a supermarket. In the Shevchenkiv district, a residential building caught fire, balconies caught fire at another location. In the Dnipro district, the fire engulfed shopping rows, debris hit the territory of a kindergarten. Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko added, that a residential building in the Solomyan district was also damaged. According to him, medical teams were dispatched to all affected areas.

“The entrance to the Lukyanivska metro station was damaged. There is no fire at the station. At the moment, the ventilation mode has been increased there,” Klitschko added.

Ivano-Frankivsk and the region were attacked by Russian troops, who used attack drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the shelling, people were injured and infrastructure was damaged. As informs on the mayor Ruslan Marcinkiv, the city was subjected to a combined attack using rockets and Shaheds.

“We have infrastructure damage in three villages of the community. The scale is currently being clarified in advance. We know that one of the villages of our community was injured. But in a light condition.” – noted Marcinkiv.

In response to Russia’s massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine, Poland, together with allied states, launched fighter jets into the air. All the necessary procedures were promptly activated to strengthen the protection of the country’s airspace in response to aggressive activity.

“Patrols by Polish and allied aircraft have begun, and ground systems of air defense and radar surveillance have reached the highest level of combat readiness”, — it is said in the message of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
