The Russian army is 7 km from Pokrovsk, and 80% of the city’s critical infrastructure has been damaged: MVA
Serhiy Dobryak, the head of the Pokrov city military administration, said that Russian troops are only 7 kilometers from the outskirts of the city, and 80% of the critical infrastructure has already been destroyed. Despite this, Pokrovsk still has 13,000 residents, including 94 children. Dobryak stated this on the air of the telethon.
“Only yesterday there were two shellings. That’s six KABs. At 10:30 a.m. they searched the city center, unfortunately, we have four wounded – two from the first shelling. And at 11:00 p.m. there were also three KABs and they were also injured. This is a civilian the infrastructure, as always, is almost gone. It is almost 80% damaged or destroyed. The enemy is leaving us without electricity, without water, without gas., – noted Dobryak.
He also added that more than 10 settlements of the community remained without electricity. Despite this, more than 13 thousand people still live in Pokrovsk, 94 of them are children.
“I am grateful to all our residents who listened and evacuated. A month and a half ago, 48,000 people remained in the city, including 5,900 children. We are observing positive dynamics, but the evacuation continues.”, – noted Dobryak.
We will remind that the Pokrovsky direction is one of the hottest on the front, where numerous combat clashes take place every day. As of the beginning of September, about 26,000 people, including 1,076 children, remained in Pokrovsk, which is located near the front line.
