The Russian army is trying to transfer hostilities from the Kursk region to the territory of the Sumy region: the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

Russian troops are trying to expand the penetration zone on the territory of the Sumy region and transfer combat operations from the Russian Kursk region to Ukraine. About this reported spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko on the air of the telethon.
“If earlier the majority of enemy DRGs were exposed in the north of the Sumy region, now in some cases we record their attempts to move closer to the southern and southeastern parts of the Sumy region.” Demchenko noted.
In this way, Russian forces are trying to transfer combat operations from the Kursk region directly to the territory of Ukraine. According to the DPSU, the Russian army has concentrated sufficient forces to knock out Ukrainian units from the Kursk region, where the Defense Forces of Ukraine were conducting an operation.
“Our task, first of all, is to hold our defense in order to prevent the advance of the enemy, as we are currently seeing in the direction of the settlements of Nowenke and Zhuravka”Demchenko emphasized.
He also reported that the occupiers use the tactics of small assault groups that try to quickly break through the border and gain a foothold.
“The enemy is trying to expand the combat zone on the territory of Ukraine, using the tactics of small assault groups of up to 5 people. Sometimes such assaults take place on ATVs in order to cross the border as quickly as possible and go deep into the territory of Ukraine, expecting further accumulation, and so that the combat zone already continues on the territory of Ukraine.” – added the DPSU spokesman.
At the same time, he assured that all enemy DRGs are effectively destroyed by the Defense Forces immediately after crossing the border or on the approaches. To do this, units of the Border Guard Service and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using artillery and drones in this direction to prevent the enemy from accumulating forces and expanding the zone of active fighting on Ukrainian territory.
