Mobilisation postponement cancelled: who will be called up first
Starting from 9 November 2024, all previously granted deferrals for Ukrainians will expire. Those who wish to extend it must submit an application, as the extension will not be automatic.
This was announced during a briefing by Roman Istomin, a spokesperson for the Poltava Regional TCC and JV.
Despite the fact that the deferral is usually granted for a period of up to 90 days, it will become invalid after 9 November, regardless of the date on which it was issued.
How to extend the extension:
- Submit a new application for extension of the deferral period.
- This can be done in person at the nearest branch of the TCC and JV.
- Online through applications such as Reserve+.
The decision will be based on the data from the Unified State Register of Conscripts and Reservists.
If necessary, the military enlistment office may request additional documents.
In case the request for deferment is rejected, the applicant may be sent for a medical examination at the Military Qualification Commission to determine his or her fitness for military service.
The extension of the deferment applies to previously granted exemptions, such as:
- Students or persons attending educational programmes.
- People with health problems or family obligations.
- Employees in essential services or critical sectors.
Be sure to submit your request for an extension by 9 November 2024 and prepare the necessary documents confirming your eligibility for the extension.
In case of refusal to extend the deferment, you may be required to undergo a medical examination to determine your fitness for military service.
This approach is aimed at ensuring the efficient conduct of mobilisation so that only those who are truly eligible for a deferment can receive it.
