The State Employment Service has launched a mobile application for job search

The State Employment Service has launched a mobile application for job seekers. Now Ukrainians who are looking for a job will be able to join the electronic queue, find the job they need or get a voucher for training in their smartphone. The application is now available for download in the App Store and Google Play. About this reported Ministry of Economy, November 18.

The mobile application for Ukrainians looking for work was created by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine, with the financial support of the governments of Poland and Germany.

Due to the full-scale invasion of Russia, many industries in Ukraine are experiencing a shortage of qualified personnel, so the creation of such an application has become an urgent solution. The new application will allow Ukrainians to stand in an electronic queue to receive services, view vacancies, and also receive training vouchers from the State Employment Service simply on their smartphone. Ukrainians abroad will also be able to use this service.

The launch of the mobile application should reduce the burden on physical employment centers by providing access to services through a smartphone. After authorization using a qualified electronic signature (KEP), Bank ID, “Diya.Signature” or in guest mode, the user gets to a single portal where he can view vacancies, apply for training vouchers or enroll in online courses from the State Employment Service .

The application also provides functions for communicating with career advisors, scheduling meetings with employers, obtaining references and signing up for an electronic queue. At the first stage, the development is focused on the needs of job seekers, and the next step will be the addition of functions for employers.

“Today, structural unemployment is one of the main problems for business. We are digitalizing processes and simultaneously implementing programs of training, retraining, as well as compensation for employment.” – said Yuliya Svyridenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy

Thanks to the user-friendly interface, vacancies can be filtered by various criteria, including the availability of housing or employment opportunities for veterans. In the application, everyone will be able to sign up for the electronic queue, submit an application for training, a grant for their own business, and create an electronic job seeker’s office.

In addition, the application will have functions for remote communication with a career counselor, as well as the possibility of electronic registration of the unemployed status and obtaining the necessary certificates.

This innovation should significantly simplify the job selection procedure and improve communication between the employment service and citizens of Ukraine. Ukrainians abroad can also use the application.

Now the features of the application are completely focused on the needs of job seekers. The next stage of the development of the initiative will be the launch of the functionality for employers.
