The State Service for Special Communications has banned “1C” in state institutions
The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine published a list of software and network equipment that are prohibited for use in state institutions.
This step is aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s cybersecurity in the context of the war with Russia. The document is mandatory for all state bodies, local councils, military formations and critical infrastructure facilities.
The State Service for Special Communications explains the importance of this decision:
“Rejection of risky software – key to the stability of the state. Programs can hide vulnerabilities for espionage or sabotage. The use of such solutions threatens national security.
The list pays special attention to the products of the Russian company “1C”. The blacklist includes “1C: Accounting 8 for Ukraine”, “1C: Enterprise 8. Trade Management” and BAS-series, including ERP, Trade Management and Accounting CORP.
In addition, old versions 7.7 and specialized software for budget institutions, in particular “UA-Budget”, are prohibited.
“1C” was the leader among accounting programs in Ukraine for many years. Until 2017, its products were promoted by the companies “Evrosoftprom” and “Skyline Software”, which are currently under sanctions. They owned the copyright and provided program updates.
