The “Tisa” checkpoint on the border with Hungary is temporarily closed
The operation of the “Tisa” checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border has been temporarily suspended. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The reason for the suspension of border operations was a power outage at the checkpoint. Because of this, it is temporarily impossible to register citizens and vehicles either for entry into Ukraine or for exit from the country. Border guards note that all necessary measures are currently being taken to restore the infrastructure and power supply.
In this regard, Ukrainians are asked to take the situation into account when planning trips, especially those who plan to cross the border by car or bus. The agency recommends checking the current status of the checkpoints on the official website of the State Border Guard Service or via the hotline before traveling to avoid long waits.
As an alternative, border guards advise considering other checkpoints on the border with Hungary, where citizens are currently being processed as usual. This approach will help drivers and passengers plan their route and avoid traffic jams.
Currently, the exact dates for the restoration of the “Tisa” checkpoint have not been announced. The State Border Guard Service emphasizes the need to closely monitor updates, as the situation may change depending on the speed of resolving technical problems.
