The Ukrainian Parliament ratified the Agreement on a one-year partnership with Great Britain
Parliament ratified the Agreement on a one-year partnership with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (reg. No. 0332). This is reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
The document defines a new long-term framework for cooperation between Ukraine and Great Britain, covering issues of security, defense, economy, science, technology and cultural ties.
The special emphasis in the agreement is on the defense direction: Great Britain has committed to provide military aid to Ukraine in the amount of at least 3.6 billion pounds every year until the financial year 2030/31, and thereafter – as needed.
The package provides for the training of Ukrainian military personnel, pilot support and the supply of military aircraft, joint production of defense products, as well as participation in expeditionary cooperation formats, such as the Joint Expeditionary Force.
We remind you that on January 16, Ukraine and Great Britain signed an agreement on a 100-year partnership. The document is designed for the next century, if neither side shows a desire to withdraw from it. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noted at the time that the agreement has a secret part that will strengthen Ukraine’s stability and provide new opportunities for its development.
