The Ukrainian participant took second place in the song contest “Junior Eurovision-2025”

Ten-year-old singer Sofia Nersesyan won second place at the international song contest “Junior Eurovision 2025”, representing Ukraine with the composition “Motanka”.

The final of the contest took place on December 13 in the capital of Georgia – Tbilisi. According to the results of the voting of professional juries and spectators, the Ukrainian representative scored a total of one hundred and seventy-seven points.

Ukraine received seventy-nine points from national juries of different countries. In particular, ten points were given by San Marino and Montenegro, eight by Croatia. The Ukrainian performance received six points each from Malta, Armenia, Georgia and France. Cyprus and Albania gave the song five points, the Netherlands and North Macedonia four. Ireland and Portugal each gave it three points, Spain two, and Italy one.

According to the results of the audience vote, Sofia Nersesyan received ninety-eight points, which was the highest score among all participants in the contest and ensured Ukraine’s victory in this category.

The announcement of the points from the Ukrainian national jury was made by Ukraine’s representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Artem Kotenko. The maximum twelve points from Ukraine went to Armenia.
