The Verkhovna Rada approved a draft law on a 50% discount on the CCC fine for “evaders”

On January 9, the Verkhovna Rada passed the first reading draft law No. 12093. He proposes to introduce a 50% discount for evaders who voluntarily admit their offense and pay a fine imposed by the territorial collection center (TCC). The initiators of the draft law were members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement.

According to the committee, in 2024, more than 6 million conscripted citizens did not update their personal information, including cell phone, email and residential address, as required by the Enhanced Mobilization Act. Failure to comply with this requirement within 60 days without a good reason is considered an administrative offense, for which a fine in the amount of 17,000 to 25,500 hryvnias is provided.

In an explanatory note, the deputies emphasized that the lack of up-to-date data in the Unified State Register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists “Oberig” complicates mobilization processes in the country.

The draft law is aimed at solving this problem, allowing conscripts, conscripts and reservists to independently apply to the TCC to clarify their personal data. In the case of voluntary recognition of an administrative offense, they will be able to pay a fine in the amount of 50% of the minimum, determined by the article of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
