The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft law on fines for paid fortune-telling services
The Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill on the introduction of administrative liability for paid services in the field of fortune-telling, magic, extrasensory perception, esotericism and occultism.
The document was registered under number 15251 in the “Legal Policy” section and was submitted to the parliament’s leadership for consideration on the same day.
The bill provides for liability not only for the direct provision of such services, but also for their advertising, promotion and dissemination of information about them. The author of the initiative was People’s Deputy Heorhiy Mazurashu, who previously also participated in the preparation of the bill on criminal liability for violations during the military medical commission.
The specific amounts of fines and the punishment mechanism are still unknown – the detailed text of the document has not been made public. The initiative has already sparked active discussion on social media.
