Trilateral talks in the UAE will continue on January 24: Zelensky

Trilateral talks in the UAE will continue on January 24. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this in an evening address. According to him, in the Ukraine-USA-Russia format in Abu Dhabi, the parameters of ending the war are being discussed, but it is too early to draw conclusions.

The head of state noted that he constantly receives reports from Ukrainian representatives who are in the United Arab Emirates. Ukraine is represented at the talks by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, leader of the parliamentary faction “Servant of the People” First Deputy Head of the OP David Arakhamia and Serhiy Kyslytsia.

“It is important, because there have not been such trilateral meeting formats for a long time. They are talking about the parameters of ending the war. Now they should have at least some of the answers from Russia, the main thing is that Russia is ready to end this war, which it itself started. Ukrainian positions are clear. I have defined the framework for the dialogue for our delegation," said Volodymyr Zelensky.

The President also announced that on January 24, the Chief of the General Staff, Andriy Hnatov, and the representative of the GUR, Vadym Skibitsky, will join the consultations.

"It is still too early to draw conclusions from the content of today’s talks – we will see how the conversation goes tomorrow and what the results will be. It is necessary that not only the Ukrainian desire to end this war, to achieve complete security, – so that a similar desire is somehow born in Russia,", the President summed up.
