The White House confirmed that Trump watched the strikes on Iran from his Mar-a-Lago villa

The White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump watched the deployment of the operation against Iran from his villa in Mar-a-Lago, and also had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This was reported by CNN.

White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that Trump oversaw the start of the operation, which took place overnight in the United States, from his villa and consulting with representatives of his security team.

Before the strikes began, Secretary of State Marco Rubio informed key Congressional officials about the upcoming operation and reached most of them by phone.

“The President and his national security team will continue to closely monitor the situation throughout the day,” the spokeswoman stressed.

Earlier in the morning on February 28, the US president announced that the United States had launched a large-scale operation against Iran, with Israel also striking targets in the country. Trump also urged the Iranians not to miss the opportunity and overthrow the repressive regime. Several countries in the region where American military bases are located have been hit by the Iranian attacks.
