The White House will host the first Cryptocurrency Summit

On March 7, US President Donald Trump will hold a Cryptocurrency Summit for the first time in the history of the White House. About this informs Cointelegraph.

According to Chief Cryptocurrency and Artificial Intelligence Officer David Sachs, the event will bring together top founders, CEOs and investors in the crypto industry, as well as members of the President’s Digital Asset Task Force.

The main topics of discussion will be regulatory policy, control of stablecoins and the potential role of Bitcoin in the US financial system. Trump has previously stated his intention to make cryptocurrency policy a national priority and turn the United States into a global center for blockchain innovation.

NFT marketplace Magic Eden general counsel Joe Doll noted that Sachs only has two years to advance cryptocurrency policy before the 2026 midterm elections. The threat of political divisiveness could slow the regulatory process, so the Trump administration is eager to make the necessary changes while it controls both houses of Congress.

We will remind that in January, Donald Trump signed a decree on digital assets. The document provides for the formation of a crypto reserve, which will include Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and Cardano.
