Trump warns Putin of possible strike on Moscow: WSJ

Former US President and current Republican candidate in the upcoming presidential election, Donald Trump, made a sharp statement during a meeting with the editors of The Wall Street Journal. He said that he could strike Moscow if necessary to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir, if you go after Ukraine, I will hit you so hard you won’t even believe it. I’ll hit you right in the centre of fucking Moscow,’ the politician said.

However, Trump also stressed that he does not really want to take such harsh measures, as his priority is to maintain relations with Putin.

We are friends. I don’t want to do this, but I have no choice,’ Donald Trump said.

Earlier, Donald Trump accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of provoking Russia’s invasion. According to Trump, Zelenskyy’s actions, in particular his refusal to fulfil certain conditions, could have been one of the reasons that led to Russia’s escalation of the conflict.

Trump also noted that the situation might have been different if he had remained president of the United States. According to him, during his presidency, Russian aggression would have been restrained, and the conflict with Ukraine would not have escalated to such a scale. Trump stressed that it was diplomatic steps that could have prevented the invasion, but the actions of Ukraine’s current leadership contributed to the outbreak of war.
