On March 15, a 27-year-old and a 56-year-old emergency medical workers were killed, and a 56-year-old was injured as a result of a Russian attack near the Red Wave of the Velykoburlutsk community in the Kupyan region. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Synegubov.
The attack was carried out in the morning when the medics were performing their duties.
According to the Kharkiv region police, the ambulance was directly hit by an FPV drone of the Russian troops. The vehicle sustained serious damage as a result of the impact, making it difficult to provide assistance to the victim and forcing medics to urgently seek medical attention.
This tragedy is part of a systematic pattern of attacks on civilian and medical services in the Kharkiv region, highlighting the risks for emergency workers who continue to work in the zone of active hostilities.
