Ukraine and Croatia agreed to expand joint weapons production

Ukraine and Croatia have agreed to expand joint arms production by signing a Letter of Intent to Deepen Defense-Industrial Cooperation. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

“I thanked Croatia for the 13 packages of military assistance provided in the amount of over 200 million euros. We expect the 14th package of assistance soon and the 15th by the end of this year”, – Shmyhal said during a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Croatia Ivan Anušić.

According to Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine and Croatia plan to hold a joint industrial forum of defense manufacturers in early 2026. The defense ministers also discussed joint participation in the SAFE mechanism and the possibility of Croatia joining the PURL initiative.

“We discussed the potential for participation in the initiative for the joint production of FPV drones. We see Croatia’s interest in this opportunity”, – noted the Ukrainian Defense Minister.

In addition, Shmyhal noted Croatia’s active role in the work of the “Coalition for Demining”. In particular, the Croatian company DOK-ING has already transferred 69 demining machines and started the production of spare parts on the territory of Ukraine.

Let us recall that on October 26, Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anušić arrived in Ukraine for a two-day visit. He emphasized that in addition to official meetings, he came to Kyiv to pay tribute to the “brave Ukrainian people, Ukrainian soldiers, and all victims of Russian aggression.”
