Ukraine banned the entry of three high-ranking Hungarian military personnel

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha announced the introduction of an entry ban for three high-ranking Hungarian military officials.

“We have imposed an entry ban on three high-ranking Hungarian military officials. Our mirror response to Hungary’s previous baseless entry ban on our military officials,” Sibiga said.

He emphasized that an adequate response will be given to every act of disrespect on the part of Hungary, especially disrespect to our military.

We will remind you that in July, the Hungarian government banned the entry of three high-ranking Ukrainian military personnel, accusing them of involvement in forced mobilization, which, according to Hungarian officials, led to the death of a Hungarian who was a citizen of Ukraine and at the same time, as Budapest claims, had Hungarian citizenship.

On August 28, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijarto said that the Ukrainian commander was denied entry due to the attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to check all the circumstances of Hungary’s decision regarding the ban and ensure an appropriate reaction.
